Microbiology Division

The Inside Sales Representative position plays a vital role in driving sales within our Food/Clinical portfolio in Microbiology. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for applying various communication channels, including telephone, email, Internet, and other technology, to engage customers within a defined territory. Your primary objective will be to establish and maintain effective customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and ensure market penetration and profitability in alignment with sales and profit forecasts.

In this role, you will actively collaborate with the Sales Manager to the successful development of key growth accounts. Your expertise and efforts will be important in expanding our customer base, cultivating existing relationships, and driving revenue generation.

By maximizing your exceptional interpersonal skills and using modern sales technologies, you will implement professional sales calls, engage in email correspondence, and leverage online and social platforms to effectively promote and sell our Food/Clinical portfolio. Through these interactions, you will showcase the value and benefits of our offerings, ultimately driving the need for the portfolio you are responsible for whilst building customer loyalty and allegiance.

Additionally, you will actively identify and develop new leads, nurturing them through the sales pipeline and converting them into established customer accounts. By closely tracking your activities and using Salesforce.com, you will efficiently manage customer information, identify sales opportunities, and maintain accurate records daily.

Staying up-to-date with product knowledge, services, competitive activities, and industry trends will be essential for your success in this role. This knowledge will enable you to provide informed recommendations and insights to customers, ensuring that they receive the best possible solutions tailored to their needs.

What will you do:

  • Identify and close sales opportunities to achieve sales targets

  • Prospect for new business opportunities within assigned territory

  • Establish and develop customer relationships to cultivate customer loyalty and allegiance.

  • Utilise account and territory planning tools to develop an action plan to achieve sales goals and objectives.

  • Maintain knowledge of products, services, competitive activity, and other general information of interest to customers.

  • Participate in training and development programs as a means of continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with internal and external team members to develop account specific strategies and CRM development.

  • Execute professional sales calls via telephone and Microsoft Teams to increase profitable sales growth in the Food/Clinical market.

  • Establish and develop customer relationships to cultivate customer loyalty and allegiance.

  • Develop an action plan to achieve sales goals and objectives;

  • Build internal/ external networks and maximize collaboration via our CRM system

  • Effectively track activities, collecting customer information and developing opportunities via our CRM, Salesforce.com.

  • Identify and qualify new leads, championing them through the sales pipeline to convert them into customers.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to provide support and develop strategies for key growth accounts.

  • Conduct product virtual and F2F demonstrations and presentations to educate customers on the value proposition of our microbiology portfolio.

  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms with customers to drive sales and enhance profitability.

  • Supervise market trends and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

  • Prepare and deliver sales reports and forecasts to management, providing insights into sales performance and market trends.

  • Travel as required to attend regular off-site internal meetings


Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor''s degree in LifeScience, Communication or Business preferred.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly motivated and demonstrates a positive demeanour and strong desire to succeed

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of successful sales experience.

  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service. experience

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills

  • Demonstrate a positive demeanour and strong desire to succeed

  • Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a constantly evolving business environment

  • Digital literacy in MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint or similar programs required

  • Willingness to travel for training and sales meetings as required.

  • Demonstrates values of integrity, intensity, innovation, and involvement.

  • Language skills: Fluent in Finnish and English.
